Scotland’s Lewis Ferguson reportedly told Bologna he will assess his future after the World Cup, while Wolfsburg are said to be closing in on Celtic-linked goalkeeper Tjark Ernst.

  • Dundee rejected several six-figure offers from Charlton Athletic for 23-year-old central defender Billy Koumetio.
  • St Mirren remain interested in George Abbott, the 21-year-old former Watford defender eyed by other Scottish clubs.
  • Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin revealed he told Falkirk of interest in new midfielder Dylan Tait in January.
  • St Johnstone think leaving is best for 18-year-old Fran Franzak, who is poised to sign for Polish side Odra Opole.

Lewis Ferguson told Bologna before heading for the World Cup with Scotland that he wanted to assess his future in July amid interest from Rangers, Lazio and now Atalanta and Roma, with the midfielder’s current club valuing the 26-year-old at more than £17m.

Rangers will announce the signing of 28-year-old centre-half Ben Godfrey on loan with a significant option to buy from Atalanta on Monday.

Atalanta have sounded out Rangers about the availability of 24-year-old Norway midfielder Thelo Aasgaard.

American right-back Bryan Reynolds is expected to decide his future within days as Rangers and Rennes battle to convince the 24-year-old to join them in a transfer likely to earn Westerlo between £3.4m and £4.4m.

Wolfsburg have reached an agreement with Hertha Berlin to sign goalkeeper Tjark Ernst, but the German club are waiting for the 23-year-old to make a decision amid rival interest from Celtic and Ajax.

Top clubs from Britain and France are tracking Elijah Just after the 26-year-old Motherwell midfielder starred for New Zealand at the World Cup.

Dundee have rejected several six-figure offers from Charlton Athletic for 23-year-old central defender Billy Koumetio.

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has revealed he had told Falkirk of his interest in new midfield signing Dylan Tait in January.

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari thinks leaving the Perth club is the best thing for Fran Franzak, who is poised to sign for Odra Opole in his Polish homeland, because the 18-year-old midfielder was unlikely to find game time this season despite having become their youngest-ever first-team player.
