Cardiff fly-half Harri Wilde has joined Ospreys on a season-long loan after the return of Wales international Jarrod Evans.

The 21-year-old will spend the season in Swansea as back-up to Dan Edwards, with the Arms Park club able to recall him if needed.
Cardiff have signed Evans from Harlequins to battle for the 10 jersey with Callum Sheedy and Ioan Lloyd.
Ospreys were short of cover at fly-half after they lost versatile Jack Walsh to Montauban, so approached their regional rivals for a deal that suits both parties.
“This is a great opportunity for me to challenge myself in new surroundings and to learn from a different set of coaches and players,” said Wilde.
Wilde, who made his United Rugby Championship (URC) debut with a brief cameo against Zebre in November 2025, signed a long-term contract before the Ospreys approached Cardiff.
“We felt it was not only a good opportunity but also the right thing for Harri to go and develop his game in a high-performance team, while hopefully getting a bit more game time in the URC,” said Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl.
Ospreys have also signed versatile Australian Lawson Creighton, who can play fly-half, centre or full-back, and Mark Jones is pleased to boost his depth.
“This move is a fantastic example of Welsh clubs working together for the benefit of the national game,” said the head coach.
“It gives us further quality depth to our 10 options and for Cardiff it ensures one of their young prospects gains valuable exposure to high-level competition.”
Former Wales Under-20s international Wilde will play in Super Rygbi Cymru for Cardiff’s seconds team when not involved in the URC.
